ebay is not a good place to make profits any more as their are soooo many asian sellers flooding the market with their cheap fake junk...

I have tried to sell a lot of things in the past, basically to even make a little bit of profit you need to have connections with suppliers in hong kong, even though their are a bunch of people who are already selling via these suppliers and have better deals.

Their is still money to be made in niche items on ebay but.

I know that quite a Spanish eBay sellers have connections with people that work over at the port where all the stuff comes in, basically they go there at night and steal everything and sell it on eBay or to people they know.

My spanish friends do the same thing, they steal from their work and sell it on ebay, whatever they sell it for, they make profit. Its getting hard for honest people to make much profit on ebay.

    BEWARE of alibaba.com
Extremely few are legit, extremely few...
I suggest you to do business with one of them, send them your money. I think you have to try at least once ;)
    You've been warned...

My wife has taken over our eBay business. Once it got up and going, I got a little bored but she has really stepped up to the plate.

She regularly visits Cosco, Sams, Wal-Mart and many other stores looking for mark downs, close outs, or special sales. She does really good with womens clothing also. We've done this long enough that you get the feel for good buys. We ought to, we lost enough money in the beginning!

We also have a huge outlet mall about 20 miles away. She is on every single stores mailing list. When one store is having a big sale, she'll check eBay and if there are bargains to be had, she'll be the first in line when they open.

I agree that it's a pain in the a$$ to do ebay this way (different listings), at least it was for me, but her profit margin is way out there on many of these goods. A lot more than dropshipping.

She also makes the garage sales on Thur. and Fri. plus Storage lien sales. She has her system down!

Check out Skip McGrath's blog and ebook for some honest information about selling on eBay. (google it)

What I’m saying that ebay its a lot of work for the money that you make unless you have someone on the inside or u steal the product

Hence the name "Ali Baba" aka The Prince of Thieves :D
Anyway, I have never tried it personally but a friend bought some stuff there and did not get scammed.
